
How To Make Italian Sausage Tortellini

Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 package (16 oz) cheese tortellini
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.

Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Return the cooked Italian sausage to the skillet and simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions.

Once the tortellini is cooked, drain and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.

Serve the Italian Sausage Tortellini hot, garnished with fresh basil.
