How To Make Asian Pepper Steak Kabobs

Ingredients

For Marinade:

  • 3garlic clovesminced
  • ¼cuplow-sodium soy sauce
  • 3tbspolive oil
  • 3tbsprice wine vinegar
  • ¼tspblack peppercoarsely-ground
  • 1tbspfresh gingerfinely-chopped

For Brushing Sauce:

  • 2tbsplow-sodium soy sauce
  • 1tbsprice wine vinegar
  • 1tspsesame oil

For Asian Pepper Steak Kabobs:

  • 1lbflank steakor sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces
  • 1large bell peppercored, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1large red onionpeeled, cut into 1-inch pieces

For Optional Garnishes:

  • green onionsthinly-sliced
  • sesame seedstoasted

Instructions

Marinade:

  1. Whisk the garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, rice wine vinegar, black pepper, and ginger together in a bowl together until combined. Set aside.

Brushing Sauce:

  1. Whisk the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil in a bowl together until combined. Set aside.

Asian Pepper Steak Kabobs:

  1. Combine the prepared marinade and steak pieces in a large bowl, then toss to combine.

  2. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours.

  3. Heat the grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Thread the skewers alternately with the marinated steak, peppers and onions.

  5. Brush each skewer liberally with the marinade.

  6. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning once, or until the steak is cooked to desired level of doneness.

  7. Remove the skewers from grill, then let rest for 5 minutes.

  8. Brush each skewer with the brushing sauce.

  9. Serve, and enjoy!
