How To Make Vegetarian Tater Tot Casserole

  • 1 package vegetarian tater tots
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. Arrange the vegetarian tater tots in a single layer on the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. In a saucepan, heat the vegetable broth and milk over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth.

  4. Add minced garlic, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir well.

  5. Cook the sauce until it thickens, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes.

  6. Pour the sauce over the tater tots in the baking dish. Spread the mixed vegetables evenly on top.

  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the vegetables.

  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  10. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
