A classic shepherd's pie made with ground beef together with the recipe's basic ingredients.

  • 1 ½ lb ground beef , or chicken
  • 1 can italian tomato paste
  • 2 cans green beans, kitchen cut
  • 1 can mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup cheese , shredded , of your choice
  • potatoes , to cover receipe, mashed


  1. Cook meat until done.
  2. Add tomato paste and stir to combine.
  3. Put meat mixture in bottom of a large pie plate or deep casserole dish.
  4. Layer green beans, mushrooms, then cheese.
  5. Cover to the edge with the mashed potatoes leaving a hole in the center for a vent.
  6. Heat in a 350-degree F oven untill bubbly.

  7. Remove from oven, and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
