How To Make Easy Shepherd’s Pie
Our recipe for shepherd’s pie will help you make an Irish classic. It’s loaded with a saucy lamb base with veggies, then topped with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- 1lbground lamb,or beef
- 1medium onion,diced
- 2garlic cloves,minced
- 4cupsmixed vegetables,defrosted
- 10oztomato soup,or mushroom soup
- 1tspWorcestershire sauce
- ½tspsalt
- ¼tspbasil
- ⅛tspblack pepper
- 3cupsmashed potatoes
- 1cupcheddar cheese,shredded
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Cook the lamb, onion, and garlic over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain any fat.

Stir in the soup, mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil and pepper.

Spread the mixture into the bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish. Spoon mashed potatoes over top, then top with cheese.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
