Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

  3. Add the onion, carrots, and garlic to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the frozen peas, tomato paste, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Transfer the meat mixture to a 9×9 inch baking dish.

  7. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meat mixture.

  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown.

  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
