How To Make Spooky Shepherd’s Pie

Delight both your eyes and taste buds with this spooky Halloween shepherd’s pie. It tops the beefy dish with creamy mashed potato ghost.

Ingredients

  • 2lbsground beef
  • 2cupspeas and carrots,frozen
  • 24ozbeef gravy,(2 cans) home-style
  • 2cupscorn,frozen
  • 2tsponion,dried minced
  • 6cupspotatoes,mashed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a Dutch oven, cook beef over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain.

  2. Set aside 16 carrot pieces for eyes; add remaining frozen peas and carrots to the pan. Stir in gravy, corn, and onion. Spoon into 2 greased 2-quart baking dishes or 8 greased ovenproof 2-cup baking dishes.

  3. Place mashed potatoes in a large resealable plastic bag; cut a 2-inch hole in corner of bag. Pipe ghost-shaped potatoes onto beef mixture; add carrot pieces for eyes. Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through.

  4. Serve and enjoy.
