How To Make Puff Pastry Mince Pies

Delicious and flaky puff pastry filled with sweet mincemeat, perfect for the holiday season.

Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of mincemeat
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out 8 circles using a round cookie cutter.

  3. Place 4 circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Spoon a tablespoon of mincemeat onto each circle.

  5. Brush the edges of the circles with beaten egg.

  6. Place the remaining 4 circles on top and press the edges to seal.

  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
