How To Make Del Taco’s Classic Taco Salad Recipe
A classic Tex-Mex salad with seasoned ground beef, crispy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, creamy avocado, and crunchy tortilla strips.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup of crumbled tortilla chips
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of salsa
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning.

In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese. Toss to combine.

Divide the salad among four plates.

Top each salad with the seasoned ground beef and crumbled tortilla chips.

In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream and salsa. Drizzle the dressing over each salad.
