How To Make Amalfi Lemon, Chilli & Anchovy Spaghetti
A zesty and spicy pasta dish with the tangy flavors of Amalfi lemons, the heat of chillies, and the umami richness of anchovies.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 350g spaghetti
- 2 Amalfi lemons
- 2 red chillies
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 anchovy fillets
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.

Zest and juice the Amalfi lemons. Finely chop the red chillies and garlic cloves.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the anchovy fillets and cook until they start to dissolve.

Add the chopped garlic and red chillies to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet and stir well. Season with salt and black pepper.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat the pasta in the sauce. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

Serve the spaghetti in bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
