How To Make Sardine Fritters
Crispy and flavorful fritters made with canned sardines, herbs, and spices.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cans of sardines in oil, drained and mashed
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of paprika
- 1/4 tsp of dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp of dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp of garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the mashed sardines, flour, cornstarch, baking powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk.

Pour the egg mixture into the sardine mixture and stir until well combined.

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Drop spoonfuls of the sardine mixture into the hot oil and flatten slightly to make fritters.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Serve the sardine fritters with your favorite dipping sauce.
