How To Make Mackerel Poke Bowl

A fresh and healthy bowl full of marinated mackerel, crunchy veggies, and creamy avocado over rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1lb mackerel, diced
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Seaweed flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

  2. Add diced mackerel to the mixture and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.

  3. In a serving bowl, add a scoop of cooked rice.

  4. Top with marinated mackerel, sliced cucumber, and avocado.

  5. Sprinkle with seaweed flakes (optional) and serve.
