How To Make Crispy Fried Flounder Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 flounder fillets
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the flounder fillets and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt together.

  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.

  4. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

  5. Dip each flounder fillet in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  6. Dip each flounder fillet in the beaten eggs, shaking off any excess.

  7. Coat each flounder fillet in the breadcrumbs, making sure to cover all sides.

  8. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  9. Place the coated flounder fillets in the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  10. Remove from heat and place on paper towels to drain any excess oil.

  11. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
