How To Make Fish Pie

Ingredients
- 500g white fish fillets
- 500g potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 200g frozen peas
- 250ml milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with 1 tbsp butter and a splash of milk. Set aside.

In a separate pan, melt 1 tbsp butter and sauté the onion and carrots until softened. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually stir in the milk, whisking constantly. Add the mustard, peas, and fish. Cook until the fish is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Transfer the fish mixture to a baking dish. Top with the mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly over the fish mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pie is heated through.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
