
How To Make Honey Mulled Wine
Simmered with cinnamon and peppercorns, this honey mulled wine is a warm and sweet drink with a delicious spice that’s perfect for cold winter nights!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 750mlZinfandel,(1 bottle), or Pinot Noir, or other full-bodied robust red wine
- Âľcupwater
- Âľcuphoney
- 15whole black peppercorns
- 1cinnamon stick,(3-inch), plus extra, optional for serving
- 1star anise,or a couple cardamom pods. or allspice berries
- lemon zest,thin peels, for garnish
Instructions

Combine the wine, water, honey, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, and other spices in a 2-quart saucepan.

Start adding a small amount of honey, then add more to taste. Warm over medium-low heat until steamy and lightly simmering.

Strain into glass mugs. Serve with a thin strip of lemon zest and a bit of cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
