How To Make Gingerbread Hot Chocolate

- 4 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Gingerbread cookies, for garnish (optional)
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.

In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, brown sugar, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

Gradually whisk the cocoa mixture into the steaming milk until smooth and well combined.

Continue heating the mixture, stirring occasionally, until hot.

Divide the hot chocolate among 4 mugs.

Top each mug with whipped cream and garnish with a gingerbread cookie, if desired.
