How To Make Spiced Ginseng Iced Tea

Ginseng is known to be a powerful antioxidant that increases energy. This iced tea is infused with this superfood as well as cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves.

Refrigerate Time: 4 hours
Total: 4 hours 25 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8cupscold water
  • 8cardamom pods
  • 6whole cloves
  • 2cinnamon sticks
  • 1star anise pod
  • 8ginseng tea bags
  • ¼cuphoney,(plus 1 tbsp)
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cold water with the cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon sticks and star anise and bring to a boil.

  2. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags.

  3. Let steep for 5 minutes.

  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey until it is dissolved.

  5. Strain the tea into a pitcher and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 4 hours or until chilled.

  6. Serve in tall glasses over ice.
