Frequently Asked Questions
How to make praline syrup?
If you can’t find any praline syrup in the supermarkets, you can make yourself a batch by combining 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of half-and-half, 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup pecans, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Bring to a boil in a saucepan ensuring you stir constantly. Remove and cool. If you’re using this, you can skip the pecans used as a garnish and garnish with this praline syrup instead.
Can I make this ahead?
You can make the base and toppings separately ahead. Just store it in an airtight container inside the refrigerator and you can save it for at least a couple of days.
