How To Make Tiramisu II

A classic Italian dessert made with layers of fluffy mascarpone cheese, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and dusted cocoa powder.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong espresso
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 16 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the espresso, sugar, and vanilla extract in a shallow dish.

  2. In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  4. Gradually fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.

  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, briefly soaking it on both sides.

  6. Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a serving dish.

  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

  8. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  9. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

  10. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
