Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Topping

  • 4 1/2 cup sugar
  • 12 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 11 1/2 oz. milk chocolate chips
  • 7 oz. marshmallow cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Blend in sugar and vanilla.
  4. Beat in eggs.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to chocolate mixture.
  6. Stir in nuts.
  7. Pour into greased 13x9x2" baking pan.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until top springs back.
  9. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, milk and butter.
  10. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  11. Reduce heat.
  12. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  13. Remove from heat.
  14. Stir in chips, cream and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  15. Add nuts. Spread over warm brownies.
  16. Freeze until firm. Cut into 1" squares. Store in refrigerator.
