  • 6 oz mezcal
  • 4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz agave syrup
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Coarse salt, for rimming the glasses
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Rim the glasses: Take a lime wedge and rub it around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim of each glass into a shallow plate with coarse salt to coat the rim evenly.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, lime juice, agave syrup, and orange liqueur. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

  3. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds to chill the cocktail.

  4. Fill the salt-rimmed glasses with ice cubes.

  5. Strain the cocktail into the glasses, dividing it evenly among them.

  6. Garnish with lime wedges.

  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
