How To Make Maple Whiskey Sour

Lemon juice, sugar, and a shot of whiskey are the primary ingredients of whiskey sour providing a zapping zest and warmth. Add maple syrup for sweetness.

  • 2ozwhiskey
  • 1eggwhiteoptional
  • 1ozfreshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • ¾ozmaple syrup
  • 3Angostura bittersoptional
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Put the whiskey and egg white in a cocktail shaker and vigorously shake for 15 to 20 seconds until the egg white is very frothy.

  2. Add the lemon juice, maple syrup, bitters, and a handful of ice to the shaker, and shake for a few seconds to combine and chill the drink.  Strain and serve immediately in a glass over ice.
