
How To Make Mai Tai Cocktail
Enjoy the genuine and classic taste of Hawaii with this simple, yet tasty and strong Mai Tai cocktail with 2 kinds of rum, which you can make in 10 minutes!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1½ozdark molasses rum
- 1ozlight pure cane rum
- ½ozorange liqueur,(Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or Curacao)
- ½ozorgeat syrup
- Âľozlime juice,fresh
- 1dashAngostura bitters,or spritz using small spray bottle
- lime,wheel, or mint sprigs, or pineapple slices, to garnish
For Simple Honey Syrup:
- 2tbsphoney
- 2tbspwater
Instructions
Simple Honey Syrup:

Simply combine equal parts honey and water in a small saucepan and warm over low heat until you can thoroughly stir the honey into the water (or warm them together briefly in the microwave).
To Assemble:

Fill a double old-fashioned glass with ice and set it aside to chill. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine both rums, the honey syrup, orange liqueur, orgeat syrup, and lime juice.

Shake. Strain the cocktail into the ice-filled glass. Evenly spritz the top of the drink with Angostura bitters and garnish with a lime wheel before serving.
