How To Make Mojitos

Nothing beats the summer heat better than this classic mojitos recipe that combines lime juice, white rum, and club soda for a quick and boozy refreshment.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4mint leaves,divided
  • 2lime wedges,divided
  • 2ozwhite rum,divided
  • 16ozdiet lemon-lime soda,(2 cans, 8 oz each), can be Sprite Zero, Diet Sierra Mist, or Diet 7-Up
  • 1cupice cubes,divided
  • granulated sugar,to be spread around the glass rimmed

For Garnish:

  • 1lime wheel,per serving

Instructions

  1. Run the squeezed lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the top of the glass in a shallow plate of granulated sugar to coat the rim.

  2. Slightly muddle the mint leaves in a pint glass and add white rum and lime wedge juice. Muddling is done by lightly crushing the mint using a mortar and pestle, a muddler, or whatever you have on hand.

  3. Add the ice and top it off with diet soda. Cheers!
