
How To Make Fresh Cranberry Margaritas
Refresh yourself with a fresh batch of cranberry margarita. That tangy and sweet mix will surely make you survive the warm climate.

Ingredients
Cranberry jam
- 1½cupfresh cranberries
- ½cuplight agave nectar or sugar
- ¼cupfresh orange juice
- 2tsp.orange zestfrom 1 to 2 oranges
Sugar and spice blend
- 1Tbsp.kosher salt
- 1Tbsp.sugar
- ¾tsp.ground cinnamon
- ½tsp.ground ginger
- ¼tsp.ground cloves or allspice
Margarita
- 1cupfresh orange juice
- ½cupfresh lime juice
- 1½cupsilver tequilaor blanco tequila
- 8star aniseoptional
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring cranberries, orange juice, and water to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thick and jammy, about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in the orange zest, and set aside to cool.

On a small, flat plate, mix together the salt, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.

You will need 8 old fashioned/small cocktail glasses. Rub a wedge of lime along the rim of each glass, then dip it into the sugar and spice blend.

Repeat for remaining glasses, then fill each with ice.

To make each cocktail individually, combine lime juice, orange juice, tequila, and cranberry jam in a cocktail shaker.

Cover and shake until the outside is frosty, about 30 seconds. Strain into prepared glass and serve with star anise.
