  • 2 limes
  • 1/2 cup cachaca, sugar cane rum
  • 6 tsp. superfine sugar
  • Ice cubes, as desired


  1. Cut each lime into about 8 pieces and place the pieces in 2 rocks glasses.

  2. Sprinkle 3 tsp. of sugar over the limes in each glass.
  3. Crush the limes with a pestle or large wooden spoon.
  4. Add 1/4 cup cachaca to each glass. Stir to mix and dissolve the sugar.

  5. Add the ice and stir again. Serve immediately.
