How To Make Rhubarb Conserve

This jam makes a sweet combination of strawberries and almonds in one jar. You can have this with bread or you can serve it as a dip for your chips.

Total: 35 mins


  • 3 lb rhubarb
  • 4 cups strawberries
  • 1 cup almonds, blanched
  • 6 lb sugar


  1. Cut rhubarb into cubes and hull strawberries.

  2. Wash.

  3. Cook fruit and sugar until thick.

  4. Stir constantly.

  5. Add nuts.

  6. Pour into sterilized jars and seal with paraffin.
