How To Make Butter Brickle Ice Cream

Butter brickle ice cream is a classic treat that you can now recreate at home with this seven-ingredient recipe for this toffee-flavored treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • tsp butter flavor extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cup whipping cream
  • ¾ cup toffee pieces

Instructions

  1. In a medium sacepan, combine half & half, brown sugar, and butter.
  2. Stir constantly over low heat.
  3. When mixture becomes bubbly around the edges of the pan, remove from heat.
  4. Chill this mixture along with the bowl of an ice cream freezer.

  5. Before freezing, add whipping cream and both extracts, mix well.
  6. Freeze according to the ice cream maker's directions.

  7. Add toffee bits after freezing process.
