How To Make Old Spaghetti Factory Spaghetti with Meatballs Recipe

Classic spaghetti and meatballs in a hearty tomato sauce.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, and egg. Mix well and form into meatballs.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.

  4. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

  5. Gently place meatballs in the sauce and cover the skillet. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.

  6. Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs and tomato sauce.
