How To Make Giant Fondant Fancy Cake

Ingredients
- 200g butter
- 200g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200g fondant icing
- Food coloring for decoration
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and line a square baking tin.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add in the vanilla extract.

Gently fold in the flour until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared tin and spread it evenly.

Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.

Once the cake is cool, cut it into squares.

Roll out the fondant icing and cut it into squares slightly larger than the cake squares. Place a sheet of fondant on top of each cake square.

Decorate the fondant with food coloring, if desired.
