This is a delicious and flavorful fish recipe with a sweet and savory teriyaki glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (such as cod or salmon)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sake or dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, sake or white wine, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to make a slurry.

  3. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan and whisk until sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place fish fillets on a lined baking pan and brush generously with teriyaki sauce.

  5. Bake fish for 12-15 minutes, until cooked through and flaky.

  6. Brush more teriyaki sauce on the fish halfway through cooking.

  7. Once fish is cooked, sprinkle with green onions and serve hot.
