Ingredients

  • 500g boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and kasuri methi.

  2. Add chicken to the marinade and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  3. Heat butter and oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

  4. Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.

  5. Add marinated chicken and cook until it is cooked through and tender.

  6. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
