How To Make Chinese Tofu and Black Bean Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp fermented black beans, rinsed and mashed
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions

Heat oil in a wok or pan and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.

Add fermented black beans, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar and water. Stir well.

Add tofu and simmer for 5 minutes.

Pour in the cornstarch mixture and cook for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle chopped green onions if desired.

Serve hot with rice.
