Ingredients
- 1 large yam, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 can of tomatoes, drained
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups of water
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer until yam is tender.
