How To Make The Capital Grille’s Au Gratin Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Gradually whisk in heavy cream until smooth. Cook, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens and starts to bubble.

Add Gruyere cheese, and whisk until melted and smooth.

Layer sliced potatoes in a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce over potatoes.

Cover dish with foil and bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
