  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Using a mixer, beat softened butter with sugar until creamy.

  4. Add in eggs and vanilla extract while continuing to beat.

  5. Stir in dry ingredients and milk alternatingly until well mixed.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan.

  8. Bake for 35 minutes or until the center is cooked.

  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
