How To Make Gino’s Caprese Salad Recipe

A refreshing classic Italian salad with mozzarella, tomato, and basil.

  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a large platter.

  2. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between and on top of the tomato and mozzarella slices.

  3. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad.

  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Serve immediately.
