A classic Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and homemade dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup of croutons
  • 1 cup of shaved Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 2 anchovy fillets, mashed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, and mashed anchovy fillets to make the dressing.

  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
