Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, water, garlic, and ginger. Cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Place the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with half of the caramel sauce.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through.

In the meantime, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry. Add it to the remaining caramel sauce and cook until thickened.

Remove the wings from the oven and brush with the thickened caramel sauce.

Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until caramelized and sticky.
