How To Make Masala Dosa Recipe
South Indian breakfast staple with crispy, golden crepe made from rice and lentils, filled with spicy potato filling.
Serves:
                        
                    
Ingredients
- 1 cup of rice
 - 1/2 cup of urad dal
 - 1/2 cup of chana dal
 - 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds
 - Salt to taste
 - Water as required
 - 4-5 boiled potatoes, mashed
 - 2 tbsp of oil
 - 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
 - 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
 - 1/2 onion, finely chopped
 - 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
 - A few curry leaves
 - Salt to taste
 - Water as required
 
Instructions
- 
Rinse and soak rice and dal separately for at least 4-5 hours.
 - 
Add fenugreek seeds to the dal before grinding to a smooth batter.
 - 
Mix both the batters, add salt and water as required and allow it to ferment overnight or for 8 hours.
 - 
Heat a pan and grease it with oil.
 - 
Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin crepe.
 - 
Add a spoonful of potato filling in the center, roll and serve hot with chutney and sambar.
