Banana Bread Sticks Recipe

The finger-food style of these sweet but healthy bread “sticks” makes them kid-friendly.

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 1 ¾ cup flour (white, whole wheat, or combined)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until they form a smooth consistency. Then pour them into a greased loaf pan.

  2. Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake the batter for about 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or until it is firmly set. 

  3. Once you're done baking, remove the bread from the pan and cut it into sticks. 

  4. Spread the sticks out on a cookie sheet and bake them at 150 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour or until the sticks become hard and crunchy.

  5. Store the sticks in a tightly covered container, and enjoy them anytime you want.
