Ingredients

  • 4 smoked mackerel fillets
  • 4 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons of horseradish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cucumber, sliced into rounds
  • Fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, horseradish sauce, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper.

  2. Flake the smoked mackerel fillets into small pieces and stir them into the cream cheese mixture.

  3. Spoon the mixture into small cups or bowls, pressing it down gently to form the shape of the cup.

  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes to set.

  5. Arrange cucumber rounds on a platter and place a mackerel cup on top of each cucumber round.

  6. Garnish with fresh dill sprigs before serving.
