How To Make Anchovy Palmiers

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 12 anchovy fillets
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle.

  3. Place the anchovy fillets evenly over the puff pastry.

  4. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the pastry into a log.

  5. Slice the log into 1/2-inch (1 cm) thick rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Brush each palmier with beaten egg.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
