  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.75 oz) pink salmon, drained and flaked
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions and drain.

  2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  3. Add flour and whisk until smooth, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  4. Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream, then bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.

  6. Add canned salmon, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

  7. Toss pasta with sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.
