How To Make Slow Cooker Pork Shoulder

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder, bone-in
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  3. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.

  4. Pour chicken broth over the pork.

  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours or until the pork easily shreds with a fork.

  6. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  7. Serve the shredded pork with your favorite sides or in sandwiches.
