Serves:
Ingredients
- 8 large cabbage leaves
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cabbage leaves and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
-
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
-
Place about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Roll up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
-
In a large baking dish, combine the tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
-
Place the cabbage rolls seam side down in the baking dish. Pour the sauce over the top.
-
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
-
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, until the cabbage rolls are cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
-
Serve hot and enjoy!
