Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and taco seasoning. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 15 minutes.

  4. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
