Turkey chili is a healthy yet still flavorful alternative to the traditional recipe. It comes complete with filling beans and is cooked in just an hour.

Ingredients

  • 1tbspvegetable oil
  • 1lbground turkey
  • 1large onion
  • 2tbspchili powder
  • 1tspground cumin
  • 1tspdried oregano leaves
  • ½tspground black pepper
  • ¼tspgarlic powder,(or 2 cloves garlic)
  • cupsSwanson® Chicken Stock
  • 1cupPace® Chunky Salsa
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 1canblack beans
  • 1canwhole kernel corn

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the turkey, onion, chili powder, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. Cook until the turkey is well browned, stirring often to separate meat.

  3. Stir the stock, salsa, sugar, beans, and corn in the saucepan and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low.

  4. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.

  5. Serve warm and enjoy!
