How To Make Almond Black Rice

A simple yet delicious bowl of antioxidants and fiber, this almond black rice is simmered in chicken bouillon and butter-toasted almonds for a tastier side.

  • 2tbspbutter
  • 1cupblack rice
  • ¼cuponion,diced
  • ¼cupalmonds,slivered
  • cupswater
  • 1chicken bouillon cube


  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat then add the black rice, onion, and almonds. Cook and stir for about 5 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted.

  2. Add the water and bouillon cube, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, then cover.

  3. Simmer for about 25 to 30 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

  4. Serve and enjoy!
