Ingredients

  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8 ounces of linguine, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper.

  2. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  3. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.

  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  5. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.

  6. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

  7. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, and bring to a simmer.

  8. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce has slightly thickened.

  9. Return the shrimp to the skillet, along with any accumulated juices, and toss to coat in the sauce.

  10. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and remove from heat.

  11. Serve the shrimp Francese over cooked linguine.
