How To Make Mussels Marinara Recipe
Delicious and savory mussels coated in a rich marinara sauce, perfect for a Mediterranean-themed dinner.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs of fresh mussels
- 1 diced onion
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp of red pepper flakes
- 1 cup of white wine
- 28 oz of crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Clean the mussels and remove the beard.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Add in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute.

Pour in the white wine and bring it to a boil before adding in the crushed tomatoes.

Simmer the sauce for 20 minutes until it thickens.

Add the cleaned mussels to the pan and stir well.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels open up.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot with bread or over pasta.
